1UP Transformation Challenge

Good morning loves,

After watching my fitness influencers on youtube, they totally made me curious about 1Up Nutrition protein powders. I love trying and reviewing different products. I looked into 1Up Nutrition at different times and in July I decided to try them out. My first purchase was the coconut ice cream and the blueberry muffin flavor. Coconut ice cream is soooo good and the blueberry was meh for me. Gage loves the blueberry muffin, but I find I like it better baked in protein muffins & treats. They also have a ton of other supplements, but that’s for another post.

A couple of weeks later I received an email about their 8-week transformation challenge. Immediately intrigued I read their blog, contest rules, and I peeped all the contestants that won the challenge. I have been trying to pack on muscle for at least a year now, but really became serious about it after Christmas of 2021. Gage and I both made it a priority to up our protein intake and go after it. After doing this for about 7 months, I knew I gained muscle, but you really couldn’t tell because, well, I have a little fluff layered all around it. I knew I needed to cut (lose at least 10 pounds) and I thought this challenge would be a perfect opportunity to start.

Another huge reason why I wanted to start this challenge was to strengthen my mind. The Lord is my primary source of help in this area and I knew I could do it with Him. I have a huge issue with weakness and I have been very weak-minded when it comes to what I am feeling in my body. I have hormonal imbalances that plague me with fatigue, numerous other symptoms, and overall feeling like crap. I wanted to get past the way I am “feeling” and stop making excuses for pushing harder and getting the results I’ve always wanted. I know I shouldn’t compare myself to others (2 Corinthians 10:12) but I see a lot of people suffering from health issues that are just killing it every day. Going through life like it’s no big deal. They just do it and I was determined to do the same.

The challenge started on August 1st, 2022, and ends on September 25th, 2022. July 25th – July 31st your week 1 photos have to be entered. You don’t have to do the weekly progress photos in between the 1st and last week, but they highly suggest you do it. For each set of progress photos you have to include the 1Up contest card visibly seen in your photos. I have entered all three weeks except I just realized yesterday that the past three weeks I have had the same contest card up that says “Week 1” whoops lol.

There is no cost to enter the challenge however, it is required you purchase their supplements after registration and during the 8 weeks. Luckily for them, Gage and I are protein powder feins and I have a second order in for four different flavors of protein powder (whoops again lol). I also order L-Carnitine 3000 and greens and reds which I will talk about in another post.

You must be 18 years of age or older. Decisions are obviously made by the 1up peeps. They also like to see you documenting your progress photos, meals, gym selfies, pictures of the products you take and why, and just overall documentation of your journey. I have 100% been slacking so badly on this because I am afraid to post my progress photos. Yeah, I am. I will have to suck it up and do it. I should have been tik toking and making videos too, but I am afraid. I hate fear. Fear of what others think is what’s holding me back. I keep thinking the house has to be clean, I need to look decent for the videos, blah blah blah but I just need to do it and not care.

There are 5 female winners and 5 male winners. Each 1st place winner will receive:

  1. $10,000
  2. A one-year brand ambassador contract which includes 5 monthly supplements for a year
  3. Assigned promo code and 10% commission payout on all sales

That $10,000 was very appealing to me. I thought, “Why not? What could I lose?” Even if I place 2nd I would win $6,000. 3rd place wins $4,000. 4th place wins $3,000. 5th place wins $2,000. I’ll take any of it honestly. I wanna pay some debt off! But I have nothing to lose because no matter what this will be a benefit to me.

I saw another company was doing the same transformation challenge, but you are absolutely not allowed to partake in any other company’s challenge during your 1up challenge which makes sense. 1up instructs you to download their app and it includes workouts and workout tracking, food & water tracking, suggestions for calories/meal plans, and I think it’s so cool they have videos for when you don’t know how to do a particular workout. Unfortunately, there is not always a video for an exercise, but that’s what Youtube is for. They also have a supplement guide that goes over their products and whatnot and you can purchase them from the app.

So at the end of all of this, I hope to have transformed my body by losing 10 pounds of fat so you can see that muscle. I hope to transform my mind to suck it up buttercup and less complaining about how I feel and lastly, I hope to win!

Feel free to email me if you have any questions about the transformation challenge or the 1Up company!

Blessings,

Alexis
